About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead strategy, planning, and execution of trade shows, conferences, sponsorship activations, executive engagements, customer events, and field marketing programs
  • Develop event and field marketing strategies supporting pipeline generation, customer engagement, account growth, and broader business goals
  • Manage program planning and execution, including timelines, budgets, stakeholder communication, logistics, attendee experiences, and onsite operations
  • Own annual and quarterly planning processes and align event portfolios to organizational objectives
  • Lead sponsorship fulfillment, exhibitor programs, hosted meetings, booth activations, and experiential marketing initiatives
  • Advise client stakeholders with strategic recommendations, industry insights, and program guidance
  • Present program strategies, performance results, business cases, and executive-level recommendations
  • Partner with sales, field marketing, creative, content, and production teams on integrated marketing programs
  • Build and maintain project plans while managing communication, timelines, budgets, risks, and deliverables
  • Serve as primary strategic and operational lead for assigned clients
  • Track and report attendance, engagement, lead generation, pipeline influence, sponsorship outcomes, and ROI
  • Analyze program results and recommend improvements
  • Manage budgets, forecasting, scope changes, financial communication, and event reconciliation
  • Negotiate and manage vendor, venue, sponsorship, production, and partner agreements
  • Source, evaluate, and manage vendors, venues, suppliers, exhibitors, contractors, and agency partners
  • Lead onsite teams during live events and activations
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to process improvements and operational excellence
  • Travel approximately 30% of the year for onsite event execution and leadership
  • Participate in team meetings, training, and company initiatives

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 8+ years of experience in field marketing, event marketing, conference marketing, trade show management, experiential marketing, or related disciplines
  • Experience developing and leading multi-event field marketing portfolios supporting sales, demand generation, customer engagement, and pipeline growth objectives
  • Experience serving as a strategic advisor to clients or business stakeholders and presenting recommendations to senior or executive-level audiences
  • Demonstrated success managing complex programs involving multiple stakeholders, priorities, budgets, and deliverables simultaneously
  • Strong understanding of event and field marketing metrics, pipeline influence, lead generation, ROI measurement, and data-driven decision making
  • Experience managing significant program budgets, financial forecasting, sponsorship investments, and vendor negotiations
  • Experience working with exhibitors, sponsors, convention centers, trade show organizers, regional marketing teams, and sales organizations
  • Exceptional project management and organizational skills
  • Strong business acumen and ability to connect program strategy to measurable business outcomes
  • Executive presence and strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders and drive alignment across cross-functional teams
  • Resourceful problem solver with strong decision-making capabilities
  • Self-motivated, highly accountable, and comfortable operating with a high degree of autonomy

  • Must be based in California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Texas, or Wisconsin
