About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage controllership processes, ensuring the quality, integrity, and reliability of financial information.
- Lead and monitor the monthly closing process, ensuring deadlines are met and information is accurate and complete.
- Coordinate monthly and annual closings with internal teams and Accounting.
- Prepare, review, and organize documents and information requested by external auditors, ensuring data traceability and consistency.
- Support analyses of results, budgets, forecasts, and other Controllership-related requests.
- Develop and enhance controls, spreadsheets, and processes that improve the efficiency and reliability of information.
- Analyze variances in balance sheet and income statement accounts, identifying inconsistencies, deviations, and opportunities for adjustment.
- Respond to external audit requests.
- Serve as the primary Controllership point of contact during the monthly and annual closing processes and external audits.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of closing processes, internal controls, and the quality of management information.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
- Solid experience in Controllership, Accounting, or auditing.
- Hands-on experience with monthly and annual accounting close processes.
- Knowledge of account reconciliation and analysis of balance sheet and income statement accounts.
- Ability to interpret financial statements and identify inconsistencies.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel/Google Sheets.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, stay organized, and manage deadlines.
- Experience in technology or SaaS companies, or companies with recurring-revenue models, is a plus.
- External audit experience is a plus.
- Experience automating processes and improving controls is a plus.
- Knowledge of Revenue Recognition processes in SaaS companies is a plus.
