About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead a team of business analysts allocated across a range of projects
- Conduct regular check-ins and quarterly reviews
- Provide coaching and mentoring to drive best practice and consistency
- Contribute to the Business Analysis Community of Practice through capability development, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement
- Ensure business analysis artefacts meet delivery and governance standards and deliver meaningful value
- Conduct business analysis from early investigation and scoping through delivery
- Work with business and technology stakeholders to clarify priorities and shape requirements and recommendations
- Work closely with Delivery Leads and Project Managers to support project delivery
- Lead analysis across the project lifecycle, including business cases, feasibility assessments, impact analysis and project scoping
- Guide requirements elicitation, analysis, documentation, prioritisation and management through delivery and into operations
- Develop and oversee business process, data and other models
- Build trusted stakeholder relationships and resolve competing priorities
- Identify process improvement opportunities, assess risks and recommend options
- Communicate findings, progress and recommendations to business and technology audiences
- Maintain the quality and consistency of the team’s analysis deliverables
- Contribute thought leadership and continuous improvement to business analysis methods and standards
Requirements
What you’ll need- Around 5–7 years of progressive business analysis experience, including work on complex initiatives
- Experience leading or mentoring a small team of business analysts
- Strong skills in business situation analysis, feasibility assessment, business case development and requirements management
- Confidence modelling business processes and data, and translating findings into clear recommendations
- Experience supporting user acceptance testing and assessing whether solutions meet business needs
- A collaborative approach to stakeholder engagement, facilitation and decision-making
- Familiarity with structured business analysis frameworks and delivery practices, including Agile and Waterfall
- Experience with delivery tools such as Jira
- A degree or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of payments technology, IT systems or financial services will be highly regarded
