About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Organize and log incoming PPAP parts into quality tracking systems
  • Review PPAP parts and documentation for completeness and readiness before production release
  • Maintain PPAP parts logs and track approval status through completion
  • Create and distribute weekly reports on PPAP submissions, status, and processing performance
  • Establish and maintain electronic filing systems for supplier submission documentation
  • Review incoming PPAP documentation packets and ensure all required elements are received
  • Coordinate documentation reviews with Supplier Development Managers
  • Maintain quality records and catalogs for supplier submissions
  • Support supplier onboarding and quality approval activities through documentation management
  • Monitor open Supplier Corrective Action Reports (SCARs) and ensure suppliers receive accurate and complete information
  • Track progress toward timely SCAR closure and escalate risks as needed
  • Support containment actions and incoming inspection activities associated with supplier quality issues
  • Develop reports highlighting SCAR status, ownership, completion timelines, and next steps
  • Participate in Engineering Change Order (ECO) review meetings and status discussions
  • Track ECO progress and support on-time implementation activities
  • Coordinate engineering change activities with Supplier Development Managers and cross-functional teams
  • Help ensure supplier-related engineering changes are executed efficiently and effectively
  • Compile supplier quality data and create actionable reports for stakeholders
  • Analyze PPAP and supplier quality metrics to identify trends and improvement opportunities
  • Present findings and recommendations to internal teams
  • Support continuous improvement efforts by maintaining accurate performance metrics and reporting tools

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Quality Management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant technical experience
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet critical deadlines
  • Experience analyzing data and developing reports that support operational decision-making
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Knowledge of quality management processes and supplier quality systems
  • Experience in automotive, commercial vehicle, or manufacturing environments
  • Understanding of Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) requirements and methodologies
  • Experience with supplier corrective action processes and quality improvement initiatives
  • Working knowledge of Engineering, Procurement, and Quality business processes
  • Experience using structured problem-solving methodologies such as 8D, 5 Why, QRQC, or similar frameworks
  • Experience leading or coordinating cross-functional teams
