About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Help develop and implement proactive strategies, processes, and workflows to ensure trade compliance
- Lead the export classification workflow and documentation process
- Coordinate with product, offering, engineering, and legal teams
- Assist with program risk assessments, compliance program improvements, and project planning and implementation
- Maintain and update policies, procedures, and work instructions
- Develop new procedures and work instructions as needed
- Lead audit and risk assessment planning and implementation with Legal and other stakeholders
- Develop annual targeted and company-wide trade compliance training plans
- Assist with preparing training materials and track training attendance and completion
- Coordinate trade-compliance-focused M&A integration planning and execution
- Collaborate with Autodesk’s global trade compliance professionals as part of the Legal Compliance team
Requirements
What you’ll need- Significant experience with US export controls and economic sanctions programs, including restricted party list screening, end-user and end-use controls, country-based license requirements, and OFAC sanctions programs
- Experience with trade compliance program development, implementation and improvement
- Ability to develop and implement process improvements, including automated tools and workflows
- Willingness to leverage AI enhancements to improve efficiency and compliance
- Prior experience scoping and conducting internal audits and assessments and developing and tracking corrective actions
- Experience with trade compliance integration for acquired companies, including export control and sanctions list screening requirements
- Familiarity with export classification processes
- Experience in the software, cloud services, or IT sector
- Ability to interact comfortably with business teams
- Strong verbal and analytical skills
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and highly team-oriented
- Commitment to professionalism, flexibility, solid business acumen, and willingness to work outside normal business hours
- Ability to manage several simultaneous projects under deadline pressure
- Experience with EU and UK export control and sanctions programs is a plus
- Experience with encryption controls and the ITAR is a plus
- Prior manufacturing-sector experience is helpful
