About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assist fleets in managing total cost of fleet ownership through fleet and mobile maintenance solutions
  • Increase fleet efficiency and operational performance
  • Collaborate with National Sales Managers, Business Development Managers, and Account Managers
  • Build and maintain existing customer relationships
  • Develop new business growth from prospects and existing accounts
  • Manage day-to-day fleet management and mobile service sales operations
  • Ensure sales targets are met
  • Provide weekly/monthly sales management reports
  • Maximize revenue and profitability against agreed targets
  • Originate new business sales, penetrate markets, and develop markets within the US
  • Achieve revenue targets by managing assigned BDMs and AMs
  • Manage Hunters (BDMs) and Farmers (AMs) in a designated geographic region
  • Plan, assign, and direct sales targets for current accounts and new business leads
  • Create credit applications based on new-business credit-line requirements
  • Meet prospect and customer timelines for product and pricing updates
  • Interview, hire, train, and support new sales employees
  • Conduct sales-team performance evaluations and PIPs
  • Achieve MBO metrics documented in Ignite
  • Maintain Salesforce data in the assigned geographic region
  • Measure KPIs using the Salesforce Dashboard
  • Manage expense reports within the allocated budget
  • Handle complex relational selling and deal-base innovation
  • Respond effectively to sensitive inquiries and complaints

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Fundamental understanding of deal base innovation and relationship selling (i.e. Miller Heiman)
  • Understanding of Fleet Management & Mobile Maintenance as a Service (MaaS)
  • Ability to effectively communicate and make persuasive presentations to all levels, up to C-Suite
  • Demonstrated track record as a top sales achiever using Salesforce as a prospective sales tool
  • Experience with regulations, maintenance procurement, and acquisition processes
  • High degree of fleet and maintenance management operational business acumen
  • Excellent time management, interpersonal communication, and networking skills
  • Goal-oriented sales professional able to work independently
  • Strong analytical, strategic vision, and thought leadership skills
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a sales or senior sales management role, ideally in maintenance management/fleet management and/or a government, utility mobile service industry
  • Proven high-level execution and sales performance in roles of increasing scope or responsibility
  • Proven sales/revenue growth over an extended period
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and with senior-level internal and external contacts
  • Experience with supplier relations and partnership exploration
  • Direct experience negotiating pricing agreements with high-level internal and external contacts
  • BA/BS degree in Business Administration or relevant field is recommended
  • Requires travel within the United States
  • Ability to operate an automobile
