About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Partner with Market and Store leadership to improve Variable Operations results, including Market Share, Gross Profit, New and Used Vehicle Sales, and Sales CSI
  • Develop General Managers and Sales Managers through in-store management development and process execution
  • Ensure leaders can implement, coach, train, and execute AutoNation Sales Processes
  • Work one-on-one with sales team members and management to develop effective and sustainable action plans
  • Analyze store and market data to identify opportunities, prioritize workload, and maximize effectiveness
  • Help GMs and Sales Managers become better leaders, managers, and coaches
  • Work with Phone and eCommerce Teams on staffing, management, and process execution
  • Partner with Market and store teams to reduce turnover, improve associate productivity, increase CSI, Market Share, PVRs, and sales
  • Update the Market President on best practices, improvement opportunities, and concerns
  • Assist with major Market or Region sales events, offsite tent sales, and new store acquisitions
  • Provide feedback to the AN HQ Variable Operations team
  • Conduct market meetings to share results, workshop opportunities, and develop best practices
  • Assist with implementing sales operations pilot programs and initiatives
  • Act as a liaison for store associates regarding selling systems

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must meet company’s requirements for employment
  • 5 years automotive retail experience
  • 2 years of automotive sales management experience
  • Proven organizational, communication and presentation skill
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Valid state driver’s license
  • Required to live in one of the cities where we have stores within the assigned Market
  • Moderate travel required (50%)
