About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own operations execution and project management for the Palestine sub-team in coordination with Avaaz
Serve as the central coordination point across project streams, ensuring deadlines, deliverables, and priorities are clear, owned, and met
Track concurrent projects and maintain a reliable source of truth for status, owners, and next steps
Prepare and lead key project meetings and follow up with project owners
Prepare and share weekly project dashboards summarising status, blockers, risks, and next steps for leadership
Support and coordinate project owners, stepping in directly when delivery gaps arise
Ensure security protocols are followed
Support donor cultivation and fundraising efforts
Coordinate cross-team and cross-organisational collaboration with partners and Avaaz departments
Track operational KPIs including throughput and survey progress
Build and maintain reporting for real-time visibility into operational health
Use data to flag risks and inform prioritisation and resourcing decisions
Design and document lightweight standard operating procedures
Analyse workflows to remove friction, reduce cycle times, and lower operational cost
Select and set up practical tooling for project tracking and reducing manual work
Support operational delivery of team events and gatherings in a high-security context
Anticipate operational risk, build contingency plans, and pivot when conditions change

Requirements

What you’ll need

At least five years of experience in project management and operations delivery
Experience ideally within a fast-paced, mission-driven, or international organisation
Experience owning delivery across multiple concurrent workstreams
Ability to hold others accountable without formal authority
Proven track record of keeping complex, multi-stream projects on time
Experience designing SOPs, reporting, and workflows that people adopt
Ability to operate under constraint in high-stakes, unpredictable environments
Strong contingency planning and rapid re-planning skills
Skilled in follow-up and delegation tracking
Emotional intelligence when navigating people and context
Excellent written and verbal communication in English and Arabic
Fluency in project-tracking and collaboration tools
Experience with Asana, Slack, and Google Suite is a plus but not required
Strong preference for being in the West Bank or having a deep understanding of Palestine and having worked there
