About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead all aspects of project delivery from scoping and definition through execution and lessons learned
- Serve as a go-to resource for the Project Management Department and agency department leads
- Manage a portfolio of accounts and associated programs as delivery lead and Project Management department leader
- Plan roadmaps, solve problems, and drive operational excellence and adherence to best practices
- Lead cross-functional delivery teams and liaise with managers across departments to achieve business objectives and client satisfaction
- Create or enhance processes and procedures to improve, streamline, or automate agency workflows
- Enforce project standards and business management systems
- Lead and mentor APMs, PMs, and SPMs; manage direct reports
- Foster client relationships and represent agency operations and project management in client meetings and planning discussions
- Travel to client locations as needed
- Lead and contribute to launch planning roadmaps and day-of-approval plans during client PDUFA timeframes
- Create and disseminate project burn reports and escalate or mitigate risks
- Collaborate with Account Management to proactively address risks
- Instill solution-oriented responses to client and internal challenges
- Lead conflict resolution and resolve problems before escalation
- Partner with department heads and senior agency staff on team conflicts
- Manage and resolve staff performance issues
- Coach and mentor SPMs and PMs with ongoing constructive feedback
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree required
- 10+ years’ experience in project management within a healthcare agency environment
- Detailed knowledge of pharmaceutical brand marketing, including broadcast, print, digital, and Medical/Legal/regulatory review
- Expert skill level with MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook strongly preferred
- Expert skill level with MS Project or other project plan software, such as Smartsheet, strongly preferred
- Expert skill level with production tools and proprietary software, including Egnyte, JIRA, Asana, Content Management Systems, and online routing, strongly preferred
- Excellent knowledge of the web and related technologies, including user experience, web development, web services, integration, application management, and hosting, strongly preferred
- Strong experience with traditional/non-digital and digital campaigns, including sites, digital experiences, and email, strongly preferred
- Excellent experience with agile, hybrid, and waterfall project methodologies
- Expert project management skills
- Master’s-level degree a plus
