About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Partner with the Director of Clinical Education and Training to develop and implement training programs and content
  • Identify future clinical training needs and create ambulatory curriculum with specialty teams and departments
  • Communicate with management, trainers, and team members to ensure training needs are met
  • Provide training on business tools, systems, and dashboards
  • Update MST, lesson plans, tip sheets, and manuals
  • Answer Epic charting, functionality, and workflow-related questions
  • Manage and resolve IT tickets related to Clinical Training
  • Prepare new-hire classrooms, including invitations, training environment logins, and practice patient documents
  • Train new-hire Medical Assistant classes and assist Provider Specialty Trainers
  • Maintain the SharePoint Epic Training Library and Learning Home Dashboards
  • Update after-class assessments and align them with current training materials
  • Collaborate with Ambulatory Analysts to optimize Epic and troubleshoot issues
  • Provide monthly update and Epic upgrade training to Office Managers, clinic staff, and other stakeholders
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Epic Ambulatory Principal Trainer (PT) certificate
  • 2 to 4 years of experience working within a healthcare or training environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Proven expertise in developing and delivering diverse training and professional development programs across a variety of settings
  • Experience utilizing multiple technologies and training approaches tailored to various positions and organizational roles
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, employees, clients, customers, and the public
  • Familiarity with modern and traditional training methods
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to think logically to troubleshoot, analyze situations, and make appropriate decisions
  • Knowledge and understanding of how for-profit medical practices run and clinical Epic workflows helpful
