About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Execute the continuous improvement strategy by translating business objectives into actionable projects
- Engage with departments to sustain, improve, and streamline processes, focusing on safety, quality, delivery, and cost
- Supervise change agents and team members on small project tasks
- Design, lead, and/or participate in Lean continuous improvement events
- Conduct process audits, Safety Gembas, and Waste Walks across the distribution center network
- Maintain SOPs and documentation
- Develop and maintain training programs for the Distribution network, including train-the-trainer programs
- Define, capture, and analyze data and metrics
- Identify and implement EWM enhancements
- Manage project implementation with return-on-investment analysis
- Provide distribution center operational support and floor leadership
- Perform other duties as defined
Requirements
What you’ll need- BA/BS degree or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in Distribution
- Familiarity with Purchasing, Inventory, Distribution, and WMS Systems
- EWM experience is a plus
- Experience implementing LEAN or Lean Six Sigma methodologies preferred
- Six Sigma certification is a plus
- Able to work in a distribution center environment on the floor
- Experience preparing and delivering presentations to multiple levels of management
- Strong oral, written, and presentation skills
- Project management skills and experience leading 5+ projects at a time
- Ability to work within a team environment and clearly communicate individual objectives
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams
- Ability to travel up to 50%
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
