About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversee industrial security programs and lead the security organization supporting NuSil’s high-performance silicones business serving the Aerospace & Defense industries
  • Report to a member of the NuSil executive leadership team
  • Plan and implement security policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines aligned with corporate and government requirements
  • Develop and guide programs to minimize security risks, liabilities, and losses involving personnel, facilities, classified information, foreign travel, and corporate assets
  • Develop and support information assurance and security programs protecting classified, proprietary, and sensitive information
  • Advise executive leadership, functional partners, and security personnel on security matters, risk mitigation, and compliance
  • Interpret government security requirements and work with customer and U.S. Government representatives to resolve issues and ensure contractual compliance
  • Liaise with law enforcement, intelligence, investigative, and security agencies and internal stakeholders
  • Manage security incident response, technology control, material handling, and other critical security plans
  • Coordinate investigations and inquiries with facility security and HR; document findings and provide recommendations
  • Develop and maintain security education and training programs
  • Lead security professionals and ensure consistent application of organizational leadership characteristics
  • Define Security department objectives, milestones, KPIs, team goals, and deliverables
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Legal Studies, Computer Science, or Cybersecurity with 12 years of Industrial Security or related experience, or graduate degree with 10 years of relevant Industrial Security experience
  • Detailed working knowledge of NISPOM / 32 CFR Part 117, NIST SP 800-53/171, and DFARS
  • U.S. citizenship
  • Active DoD TS/SCI Security Clearance and ability to maintain it
  • Demonstrated understanding and implementation of security programs and processes
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Experience leading or mentoring personnel in a team environment
  • FSO, ISP, and CPP certifications
  • Preferred: ability to obtain and maintain SAP approval
  • Preferred: comprehensive knowledge of NISPOM, DFARS, and NIST SP 800-171/172
  • Preferred: familiarity with DD-254 Implementation Requirements
  • Preferred: OPSEC program experience
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and challenging work environment
  • Exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Positive working relationships with internal and external customers
  • Ability to work independently and follow projects through to completion
  • Flexibility with changing priorities and deadlines
