About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Drive new business acquisition and expand NuSil’s presence in the medical device industry within an assigned territory
  • Grow strategic relationships with existing customers and manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through close
  • Manage a portfolio of large, high-visibility, and strategically important accounts
  • Focus on long-term customer satisfaction, retention, and business growth
  • Execute engagement strategies for complex, high-value accounts at national or regional scale
  • Lead strategic projects supporting customer success and company objectives
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and regional stakeholders on key-account decisions
  • Own revenue performance for an assigned territory and achieve or exceed sales and growth targets
  • Drive customer acquisition through prospecting, lead generation, inbound lead responsiveness, and pipeline management
  • Conduct discovery, proposal development, presentations, negotiations, and closing
  • Develop and maintain sales pipelines using CRM and digital prospecting tools such as Salesforce and LinkedIn Sales Navigator
  • Identify customer needs, technical requirements, and application challenges; recommend NuSil solutions
  • Develop territory and account growth plans and establish accurate forecasts
  • Position and promote NuSil’s product portfolio across applications and market segments
  • Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities within existing accounts
  • Build relationships with key decision-makers and influencers
  • Collaborate with Sales Management, Marketing, Research & Development, Product Management, Planning, and Operations
  • Represent NuSil at customer sites, industry events, and trade shows
  • Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and customer feedback to refine sales strategies
  • Communicate application requirements, market trends, and competitive insights to internal teams
  • Maintain professionalism, responsiveness, and customer satisfaction
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, or business preferred
  • 5+ years of B2B sales experience in a consultative, solution-based selling environment required
  • Candidates located near Boston area preferred
  • Ability to travel 30–50% to customer sites, trade shows, and industry events
  • Proven track record of new business development and growth achievement
  • Demonstrated success prospecting, closing, and growing revenue in technical or complex selling environments
  • Experience selling into technical, scientific, manufacturing, medical device, aerospace, or advanced materials markets strongly preferred
  • Strong commercial mindset and ability to prospect, open doors, and close new business
  • Ability to engage and influence business owners, engineers, technical leaders, and executive decision-makers
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Strong analytical and strategic selling capabilities within complex customer organizations
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize high-impact activities within a territory
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, specifically Salesforce.com, and digital/social selling tools
  • Comfort translating technical information into clear business value propositions
  • Ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously in a fast-paced, results-driven environment
