About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Plan territories, qualify opportunities, and close business within the analytical chemistry workflow
  • Provide client solutions supporting customers working toward scientific breakthroughs
  • Act as a subject matter expert in analytical chemistry
  • Work within a matrix of general sales representatives, supply partners, portfolio, and marketing teams
  • Deliver solutions aligned with customer requirements, specifications, long-term account goals, and company strategy
  • Build relationships to understand customer needs and ask clarifying questions for accurate and timely solution delivery
  • Support generalist sales representatives and management through regional meetings, strategy sessions, key account blitzes, and on-site technical seminars
  • Maintain external partnerships with manufacturers and industry experts
  • Travel to customer locations and accounts throughout Texas and surrounding southern states
  • Exhibit drive, judgment, influence, curiosity, and the ability to work with little direction in a fluid, matrixed environment

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or equivalent work experience required
  • Minimum 3+ years chromatography experience
  • Firm understanding of the analytical chemistry marketplace, including HPLC, LC/MS, GC, GC/MS, FPLC, flash, purification, spectroscopy, ICP, and wet chemistry
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Willingness to travel to customer locations a minimum of 4 days a week
  • Travel throughout the South-Central region of the U.S.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience working in an analytical lab, performing sample preparation and data analysis preferred
  • Experience running, maintaining, and troubleshooting analytical instruments/equipment, including PM, IQ/OQ/PQ, preferred
  • Salesforce and SAP experience preferred
  • Sales experience in a matrixed environment preferred
