About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support multiple facilities and/or customers in a strategic geographic area
  • Perform Coordinator, Technician, Material Handler, and Glass Washer functions during vacations, leave, or emergencies
  • Act as backup to other territories and travel outside the designated territory when required
  • Coordinate and lead team efforts related to customer requirements
  • Complete projects such as Standard Operating Procedures, Scopes of Work, Standard Work, and On-The-Job Training
  • Interface directly with customer points of contact, purchasing directors, facility directors, and plant managers
  • Procure lab supplies and materials using customer relationships and systems
  • Utilize Avantor and customer systems including SAP, Inventory Manager, Chemical Manager, and customer-specific applications
  • Train Avantor Lab and Production Services associates on service offerings
  • Provide SAP support, including customer services, credit rebills, and invoice scrubbing
  • Modify and maintain quality metrics and key performance indicators
  • Manage a budget related to expense reports
  • Meet revenue, TOE, safety, performance, and quality goals and objectives
  • Create programs for enhanced service efficiencies
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or GED is required
  • 3+ years of experience in inventory control, procurement, shipping and receiving, inside sales, or related areas is a plus
  • Microsoft Suite experience
  • Overnight travel is required
  • Ability to use your own vehicle and ability to fly for farther travel
  • Must be fully vaccinated and boosted against COVID-19 for sites where coverage is provided
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Previous experience working in a GMP facility is strongly desired
  • Strong communication skills
  • Knowledge of Information Access and System ESS
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Ability to travel between multiple locations in the San Francisco area
  • CDL is a plus, not a requirement
  • Cross-referencing and inside sales experience are a plus
  • Forklift Certification is a plus
  • Prior experience with VWR/Avantor products and services is a plus
  • IATA, DOT, OSHA Right to Know, and IMDG knowledge is a plus
