About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide direct patient care, including assessment and management of home respiratory patients
- Educate patients and caregivers on respiratory equipment and treatment plans
- Manage and support respiratory therapies such as oxygen, PAP devices, nebulizers, inhalers, and mechanical ventilation
- Monitor patient progress and communicate updates with the care team
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient care and services
- Review and follow physician orders to ensure proper treatment and device settings
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory, company, and accrediting agency standards
- Respond to patient and customer service concerns with professionalism and empathy
- Collaborate with internal teams to support patient onboarding and ongoing care
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associate’s Degree in Respiratory Care (required)
- Minimum of 1 year of in-home DME experience (preferred)
- RRT credential (preferred)
- Compassionate and patient-focused with strong bedside manner
- Organized and able to manage multiple patient needs and schedules
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accurate documentation and compliance
- Comfortable traveling to patients and educating them and their families on respiratory treatments and equipment
- Adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing healthcare environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to respond to patient concerns professionally
