About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support government operations through GIS activities, requirements analysis and development, field activity support, and activities related to acquiring and deploying equipment and maintaining facilities
Create and maintain static and web-based GIS solutions
Perform complex analysis and mapping projects supporting national security operations
Extract, transform, and load data into GIS databases
Independently develop GIS tools and applications, perform complex analyses, and develop multi-layered maps using GIS application suites and other programming environments
Support development of SharePoint, Power BI tools, and informational databases
Perform other responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

3+ years of GIS experience supporting a public sector client
Strong understanding of GIS workflows and database fundamentals
Proficiency with the full Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint)
Exceptional editing and data analysis skills to ensure client deliverables are complete and error-free
Demonstrated high level of competence using the ESRI ArcGIS ecosystem, including ArcGIS Pro
Ability to obtain and retain the required federal security clearance
BS/BA in GIS, Geography, Cartography, Computer Science or other related field with GIS experience
Applications must include a cover letter
Experience analyzing data and developing Power BI tools and dashboards is a plus
Experience supporting federal, state, local, or other public-sector clients is preferred
