About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own and continuously mature Avint’s business operations model
- Translate executive priorities into processes, decision rights, controls, owners, timelines, and measurable outcomes
- Lead financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow visibility, project cost accounting, overhead cost management, accounts payable and receivable oversight, payroll coordination, banking support, and management reporting
- Establish monthly and annual financial operating rhythms; identify variances, risks, and trends and present recommendations to Executive Leadership
- Lead human resources and people operations, including benefits and compensation administration, policies, employee lifecycle processes, performance management, compliance training, Career Manager support, and difficult employee matters
- Oversee recruiting operations and workforce planning
- Lead corporate contracting and procurement, including contract and subcontract administration, vendor management, purchasing, pricing and proposal support, redlines, negotiations, GSA/OASIS+ administration, and contractual records
- Own quality and compliance programs, including CMMI and ISO activities, internal controls, audits, quality reviews, metrics, corrective actions, risk tracking, records retention, and process improvement
- Oversee administrative operations, facilities, insurance, registrations, corporate tools and systems, and vendor relationships
- Lead cross-functional initiatives spanning Business Operations, Delivery, Growth, Innovation, Security, and Executive Leadership
- Develop executive dashboards and operating metrics covering financial health, workforce, recruiting, contracts, compliance, operational risk, and corporate initiatives
- Serve as Career Manager and people leader for Business Operations staff; coach, develop, and hold the team accountable
- Represent Avint with employees, clients, partners, vendors, auditors, and prospective customers; support proposals, presentations, conferences, and growth activities
- Model Avint’s core values and strengthen a culture of ownership, responsiveness, collaboration, discretion, and continuous improvement
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, human resources, operations, or a related discipline; advanced degree preferred
- 10+ years of progressively responsible experience across business operations or related corporate functions
- Demonstrated leadership across multiple functional areas
- Government contracting experience strongly preferred
- Mastery of multiple operational disciplines and ability to quickly learn new responsibility areas
- Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams through complex work with minimal executive direction
- Strong financial and business acumen
- Experience interpreting operating data, identifying risk, developing recommendations, and supporting executive decision-making
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
- Experience facilitating complex working sessions and presenting recommendations, business cases, and operational results
- Experience developing people, setting performance expectations, building repeatable processes, and improving organizational maturity
- High integrity, judgment, discretion, accountability, and attention to detail
- Comfort owning sensitive financial, contractual, personnel, and corporate information
- Relevant professional certification(s) expected; PMP, SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP, CPA/CMA, CPCM, or comparable credentials valued
