Key responsibilities & impact

Assess vehicle damage involving mechanical and electrical components
Use diagnostic equipment to diagnose and repair electrical faults
Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues, identify root causes and develop solutions
Diagnose and repair mechanical damage, including engines, suspension and steering
Diagnose and repair air-conditioning, refrigeration and heating systems
Diagnose and repair wiring and other electrical systems and equipment
Use computerized machinery for wheel alignment
Ensure repairs flow through the workshop and identify issues that result in failure
Maintain clean and organized work areas, tools and equipment
Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of PPE and handling of materials
Contribute to a collaborative working environment focused on customer needs
Promote Aviva AutoCare Centre values and goals
Produce quality repairs while supporting customer satisfaction and financial performance

Requirements

What you’ll need

Red Seal - Automotive Service Technician certificate (310S)
Minimum 3 years of experience working within the auto repair industry, preferably in a collision repair
I-Car, manufacturer or other certifications are an asset
Experience diagnosing and calibrating ADAS systems preferred
Valid driver’s license
Strong knowledge of automotive/equipment preventative maintenance, refurbishment and repair practices and procedures
Excellent organizational, time management and interpersonal skills
Ability to effectively manage a fast-paced environment and multitask while working under pressure
Adaptability and openness to change with a proactive mindset in embracing new work practices and technologies
Ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical issues, identify root causes and develop solutions
Detail-oriented approach with strong organizational skills
Ability to take direction and perform well under pressure
