About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop UI and UX experiences for individual consumers, SaaS and B2B customers, Enterprise, and Public Safety agencies
Lead the end-to-end UX process from discovery through final implementation
Translate complex customer workflows into intuitive product experiences
Advocate for user-centered design across the organization
Collaborate with product management on research, ideation, and problem-solving to understand user pain points and develop solutions
Collaborate with engineering to ensure designs are accurately implemented and provide design support during development
Lead the development, maintenance, and enhancement of the design system, ensuring it remains up-to-date, consistent, and accessible
Stay current on emerging design trends, accessibility standards, and SaaS best practices
Create designs and workflows for web-based, mobile-based, and IoT-device-based software products from early design stages through production releases, improvements, and expansions
Work directly with product and engineering teams to create all aspects of UI and UX

Requirements

What you’ll need

BS degree in Design, preferably in UX-related fields of HCI, Industrial Design, Product Design, or Graphic Design, or equivalent combination of relevant coursework and job-related experience
At least 5+ years of experience in UI/UX Design
Experience designing SaaS or cloud software products
Proficiency in Figma, Sketch, Illustrator, Photoshop, Zeplin, Jira, and Confluence
Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (preferred)
Experience managing software products that interact with and represent IoT device data (preferred)
Familiarity with accessibility standards (preferred)
