About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Monitor domestic and international shipments subject to security regulations
- Maintain ITAR export records for hardware, technical data, and defense services
- Manage jurisdiction determinations and internal correspondence
- Perform license determinations and apply license exceptions and exemptions
- File for export licenses when applicable
- Provide reports and analysis supporting business financial decisions and regulatory compliance
- Support the Export Compliance Officer and department management with trade compliance questions, projects, and training
- Support EUC verification and manage record retention for EUCs
- Provide shipment compliance reports for high-risk customers and products
- Conduct new customer screening for import/export compliance
- Conduct Denied Party Check reviews for new partner creation
- Ensure partner information changes are accurately completed in the system
- Search supplier websites and price books for ECCNs
- Coordinate new part numbers to obtain ECCN certification from the EMEA trade compliance team
- Administer ECCN maintenance and license determination requirements
- Maintain updated compliance records in SAP
- Coordinate with the business to review and release blocked orders in SAP
- Develop or deliver training programs on security requirements
- Monitor case law and legislation for relevant compliance updates
- Research new Denied Persons Lists and BIS news and provide timely business updates
- Identify, investigate, and participate in process and procedure improvement opportunities
- Track and improve key performance metrics
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Typically 5+ years with bachelor's or equivalent
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained
- Extensive knowledge and application of principles, theories and concepts
- Complete knowledge of all job functions and broad industry best practices, techniques and standards
- In-depth analysis of complex situations and/or data
- Ability to work independently and exercise judgment and discretion
- Experience coordinating work between departments or organizations
- Knowledge of International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Export Administration Regulations (EAR), and other local, national and international regulatory requirements
- Knowledge of export licenses, license exceptions, exemptions, jurisdiction determinations, ECCN, denied party screening, and SAP
- Ability to develop or deliver compliance training programs
