About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Purchase products and provide order fulfillment activities to support business demand
  • Manage order status processes and ensure accurate shipping and delivery information in company systems
  • Complete post-Purchase Order updates through backlog management, including tracking, reporting, and communication
  • Work with suppliers to meet delivery commitments and improve systems and processes
  • Develop and manage supplier relationships and hold suppliers accountable for shipping and delivery commitments
  • Negotiate supplier pricing and provide quotes to the sales team
  • Coordinate with warehouse, logistics, and transportation carrier teams to ensure timely receipt and delivery
  • Manage non-conforming inventory, including product disposition and in-process failures
  • Communicate order status and problem resolution to planners, sales, and customer operations
  • Assist with inventory aging and fill-rate management, including stock rotation and liquidations
  • Support organizational initiatives and supplier management activities through project teams

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Typically 3+ years with bachelor's or equivalent
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained
  • Thorough knowledge of principles, theories and concepts in area of discipline
  • Competent in all job functions and general understanding of industry practices, techniques and standards
  • Ability to develop solutions for a variety of situations and work on projects requiring evaluation and analysis
  • Ability to work independently and exercise judgment and discretion
  • Ability to collaborate with management and team members within the department/function and other organizational areas
