Key responsibilities & impact

Prepare tax returns and related supporting documents/work papers for Indirect Taxes, Sales & Use, Excise, and Canadian Taxes
Reconcile GL tax accounts
Perform tax research and provide interpretation and application of tax rules
Prepare and/or review responses to tax authority inquiries
Review tax packages for accuracy and completeness
Provide tax technical support for restructuring
Develop and maintain current knowledge of changes in tax legislation, rulings, regulations and litigation impacting the business
Prepare and reconcile data for Property Tax filing
Prepare business licenses
Provide support to internal customers for tax-related issues
Perform other duties as assigned

What you’ll need

Advanced Microsoft EXCEL skills required
Thorough knowledge of principles, theories and concepts in area of discipline
Competent in all job functions with general understanding of industry practices, techniques and standards
Ability to develop recommendations and work on projects requiring evaluation and analysis
Ability to work independently and exercise judgment and discretion
Ability to collaborate with management and team members within the department/function and other areas of the organization
Typically 3+ years with bachelor's or equivalent
Experience preparing and filing returns throughout the US and Canada
Vertex Return software preferred
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained
