About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Build scalable backend services, APIs, and AI-powered features using TypeScript/Node.js, Python, and cloud platforms
Own and ship features end-to-end, from backend services to customer-facing interfaces
Design prompts, evaluate AI-powered workflows, and build systems that make LLMs reliable in production
Build integrations with CRM systems, scheduling platforms, and third-party communication tools
Fix real customer problems with a short report-to-production loop
Write comprehensive tests, add monitoring, and own shipped systems post-release
Participate in on-call rotation and incident response
Collaborate with senior engineers through code reviews and technical and architecture discussions
Partner with Product, Design, and Customer Success to translate requirements into robust customer-facing solutions
Drive loosely defined problems to completion with minimal hand-holding

Requirements

What you’ll need

2+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 1 year in a fast-paced startup or growth-stage environment
Strong programming skills in modern JavaScript/TypeScript and Python
Backend development experience
Hands-on experience with AWS or GCP and modern deployment practices
Experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs
Understanding of service-oriented architectures
Comfort working with SQL databases at scale
Track record of fast, high-quality execution
Self-driven and able to work with minimal hand-holding
Comfort with ambiguity and changing requirements
Curiosity about AI and LLMs; appetite to learn required
Experience with AI/ML technologies, LLMs, or conversational AI systems is a bonus
Background in B2B SaaS or enterprise software is a bonus
Previous startup experience or exposure to rapid scaling is a bonus
Contributions to open source or active developer community participation are a bonus
Experience with real-time systems or event-driven architectures is a bonus
Familiarity with Docker/containerization and orchestration tools is a bonus
