About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Act as the primary point of contact for identified customers
  • Build strong, collaborative customer relationships
  • Understand and deliver all elements of each business agreement
  • Develop and execute account plans covering product, color, and service needs
  • Communicate the value and benefits of Axalta products, color, and services
  • Engage appropriate resources to meet customer needs
  • Maintain regular customer calls and document interactions in Salesforce (SFDC)
  • Follow up on issues and identify process improvements
  • Prioritize tasks and contribute to regional revenue, profitability, customer retention, and distributor management goals
  • Support standard operating procedures and inform customers about Axalta training classes and local performance groups
  • Lead paint conversion efforts and solicit distribution resources
  • Maintain accurate account and contact information in Salesforce
  • Use SharePoint, Salesforce, and Microsoft Office to improve productivity and communication

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or at least 3-5 years of Automotive Refinish industry experience
  • Automotive Refinish background and successful customer support experience
  • Strong knowledge of the collision repair, commercial transportation and industrial business environment
  • Knowledge of distribution fundamentals
  • Working knowledge of Axalta’s core product lines and repair shop business fundamentals
  • Ability to identify customer needs and resolve problems collaboratively
  • Self-disciplined and able to work effectively in unstructured and autonomous conditions
  • Professional presentation throughout all levels of the organization
  • Strong team-player abilities
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Competent computer skills and proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% of the time
  • Local presence in the Western New York surrounding area
  • Not eligible for relocation or sponsorship
