About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Grow business and sell solutions to potential Axalta customers within the assigned market
  • Partner with coatings customers to drive new business to Axalta
  • Meet required sales and revenue targets across customer segments
  • Identify and develop a pipeline of prospective customers
  • Build a professional industry network
  • Conduct market research to uncover value drivers
  • Communicate timely market updates to multiple levels of management
  • Participate in preparing and executing sales plans, events, and campaigns
  • Present Axalta solutions to key decision-makers at prospective companies
  • Collaborate with internal and external resources to deliver results
  • Maintain accurate account information and contact data in Salesforce (SFDC)

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or at least 5 years of Automotive Refinish industry experience
  • 5+ years of direct selling experience with a track record of hitting or exceeding sales goals
  • Experience selling to or managing relationships with top-tier clients preferred
  • Strong business development and prospecting skills
  • Ability to quickly and effectively acquire new clients
  • Strong knowledge of the collision repair, commercial transportation and industrial business environment
  • Knowledge of distribution fundamentals
  • Working knowledge of Axalta’s core product lines and repair shop business fundamentals
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent relationship-building and presentation skills
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills
  • Strong work ethic and self-discipline
  • Competent computer skills; proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% of the time
  • Valid driver’s license required
