About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Implement the logistics strategy for the Refinish business segment
- Co-develop and take responsibility for the logistics footprint in the market
- Manage projects for site optimization and adaptation
- Ensure customer supply and service quality
- Lead multiple logistics functions
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements for transportation, customs, and dangerous goods, as well as the company’s internal safety standards
- Manage external logistics partners
- Oversee warehousing and transportation activities, including dangerous goods
- Manage risk and monitor performance
- Continuously improve processes and control and optimize costs
- Analyze performance KPIs and define appropriate actions
- Support and coordinate internal and external audits
- Take responsibility for budgets and costs
- Assume overall responsibility for logistics activities for the Refinish business and affiliated companies throughout Austria
- Lead operational logistics functions at all sites, as well as shipping, customs, Right to Operate, and Supply Chain Back Office activities
- Report directly to business unit leadership and collaborate with business units, suppliers, and the central Supply Chain organization
Requirements
What you’ll need- Completed degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management, or a comparable field
- Several years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or operations
- Several years of leadership experience
- Strong MS Office skills; SAP experience is an advantage
- Strong analytical skills and experience with continuous improvement processes
- Excellent communication skills
- Willingness to continuously involve and engage a range of stakeholders in relevant topics
- Fluent written and spoken English
