About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Draft, review, and negotiate mining-related commercial agreements, including joint ventures, net smelter return arrangements, and offtake agreements for concentrate and doré products
Support small-scale M&A transactions, including due diligence, drafting, and negotiation
Support other North American M&A activity
Provide legal support on corporate and securities matters

Requirements

What you’ll need

Meaningful in-house legal experience with a mining company
Hands-on experience with mining transactions and commercial arrangements
Experience supporting corporate, commercial, M&A, joint venture, royalty, or offtake matters
Familiarity with public-company and securities matters
Licensed to practice law in an applicable jurisdiction
Preferred: Experience with U.S. securities matters
Preferred: Experience working within a lean in-house legal team
Employment may be contingent upon successful completion of a background check, providing proof of identity, and possessing the necessary legal authorization to work
