About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own operations for UK energy trading, including daily trading processes and reviewing settlements
- Debug complex edge cases across trading, asset registration, and settlement processes
- Identify risks to revenue and delivery and proactively mitigate them
- Communicate insights and actions clearly to engineering and commercial teams
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in Distribution System Operators and UK market regulators
- Develop source-data understanding and build data pipelines powering analytics
- Run and optimise asset management, trading across UK flexibility markets, and payment processes for clients and end customers
Requirements
What you’ll need- Strong SQL and Python skills for analysing data, investigating issues, and automating processes
- Strong analytical skills
- Deep-seated motivation to combat climate change
- Comfort operating in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment
- Ability to develop a deep understanding of flexibility markets across the UK
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally
- Ability to crunch numbers and own critical daily and monthly operational processes
