Key responsibilities & impact

Overall responsibility for the IT infrastructure and its ongoing development
Contribute to the development of the Group-wide IT strategy, as well as processes, standards, and solutions
Lead and develop a team of six employees at various locations, primarily working remotely
Continuously adapt departmental structures to operational requirements
Ensure the smooth operation of internal network and IT telecommunications systems, including workplace management, in Germany and other European countries
Ensure the operation and ongoing development of server and client systems in the data center (colocation/hosting)
Provide first- and second-level support
Further develop incident, problem, and change management processes within the infrastructure environment
Develop and implement IT policies in accordance with ISO 27001 and established security standards
Evaluate and implement new technologies to optimize stability, efficiency, scalability, and security
Manage external service providers

What you’ll need

Successfully completed degree in computer science, business informatics, or a comparable qualification
Several years of management experience in an IT environment, with a focus on IT infrastructure (on-premises and cloud) and IT security
Demonstrated expertise in change management and leading teams through transformation processes
In-depth understanding of infrastructure security and cybersecurity practices
Experience with backup and recovery, as well as patch management
Process-oriented mindset
Strong experience with IT service management frameworks, preferably ITIL
Experience with ticketing systems, ideally Jira
Ideally, very good knowledge of modern workplace environments, particularly Microsoft 365 (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, Entra, Intune)
Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach
Very good command of German and English
Willingness to travel (approximately twice a month)
