About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage and develop accounts within the specified territory
- Conduct presentations to customers
- Handle complex sales opportunities directly
- Work with other Azenta product line representatives to sell the full Azenta solution
- Independently develop new leads and opportunities
- Support distribution representatives
- Act as a resource to customers and distributor representatives for product and company knowledge
- Sell specialized storage and tracking products, PCR consumables, sealing solutions, 2D coded tubes, barcode readers, sample storage products, and instruments
- Enable customers to develop workflows in sample management, automation, and PCR
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree required (Biology or Life Sciences preferred)
- 5+ years relevant experience in account management selling to various stakeholders in a lab environment in a designated region/territory
- Proven track record in meeting/exceeding sales goals
- Experience with and knowledge of the sample storage and/or molecular biology market is desirable
- Keen business acumen, sound decision making, analytical and organizational skills
- Consultative approach to managing client relationships
- Confident written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
- Must have valid driver's license
- Ability to travel around or above 50%
- Home office based in the Northeast, with New York City specified
- Northeast territory includes NY, OH, RI, NH, VT, ME, DE, and MI
