About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Act as the primary liaison between logistics partners and internal frontline teams regarding shipping questions, discrepancies, and exceptions
Manage day-to-day logistics exceptions, including identifying issues, researching root causes, coordinating resolutions, and escalating when appropriate
Identify recurring exception types and determine whether a system change, process improvement, or SOP update is needed
Build, test, and maintain automation using Claude, Salesforce, and 3GTMS (Descartes)
Support Velocity buyers with shipping-related questions and issues to reduce order aging and improve the client experience
Meet established response and resolution SLAs for assigned exceptions and inquiries
Maintain accurate and timely 3GTMS notes and updates
Communicate with carriers and internal teams to resolve operational issues and ensure follow-up
Maintain accurate carrier contact information and distribution lists
Develop, maintain, and improve SOPs and documentation
Work cross-functionally with Logistics, Client Operations, Sales, Technology, Finance, and other B-Stock teams
Support shipping disputes and Costco claims by liaising between dispute/mediation teams and carriers; collect, validate, and follow up on documentation
Cross-train on other Logistics Associate responsibilities to provide team coverage
Perform special projects, reporting, and analysis supporting Logistics strategy, operational performance, and process improvement

Requirements

What you’ll need

1+ year experience in logistics, transportation, transportation brokerage, or a related operational environment
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to ask probing questions, identify root causes, and drive issues toward resolution
Ability to think critically and solve problems quickly and accurately
Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office Suite; Excel experience preferred
Self-starter with the ability to work effectively in a remote environment
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment
Positive attitude and eagerness to learn
Ability to work a flexible schedule on occasion
Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting established deadlines and SLAs
Previous experience in logistics operations, carrier management, or exception/escalation management in a shipping or transportation environment preferred
Experience using 3GTMS (Descartes) or a comparable Transportation Management System preferred
Experience using Salesforce or a comparable CRM for case or ticket management preferred
Experience identifying recurring operational issues and building SOPs, automations, or process improvements preferred
Familiarity with AI-assisted workflow tools or automation platforms preferred
Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred
Work Authorization required.
