About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Define and capture requirements, design, and employment of complex remote sensing systems
Write and optimize high-fidelity models and analysis tools using C++ and Python in Linux and Windows environments, primarily using AFSIM
Integrate MBSE tools into the model lifecycle
Integrate external system models with internal designs
Develop and deploy software artifacts to secure cloud environments through CI/CD pipelines
Create custom analysis tools and testing frameworks
Analyze current workflows and design transitions to optimized future states
Develop standard, repeatable processes for remote sensing model development and integration
Serve as a primary technical contact for digital engineering
Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule
Establish effective working relationships across departments and business units
Perform other duties as necessary

Requirements

What you’ll need

BS degree or higher in Engineering or a related technical field
4 or more years of related experience
Degree from an accredited university, college, or school recognized by the US Secretary of Education or US Department of Education
Current, active Secret security clearance
Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI clearance
Excellent Python skills
Proficiency in C++ and Python
Working MBSE knowledge
Ability to create functional models and activity diagrams
Interest in using AFSIM or similar modeling tools
Comfort working in a Linux environment
Understanding of moving code through a CI/CD pipeline into a secure cloud
Ability to identify efficient paths for complex system modernization
Ability to translate complex analysis into clear narratives
Professional communication across all organizational levels
Advanced degree in Electrical, Aerospace, Systems, Computer Engineering, or related technical field preferred
Experience piloting innovative workflows preferred
Knowledge of Department of War MBSE best practices and Digital Engineering strategy preferred
Experience with SAFe or Scrum preferred
Professional experience with AFSIM and Cameo preferred
Proficiency in GitLab, Bash, and PowerShell preferred
Experience with LaTeX preferred
