About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide leadership, coordination, and oversight for project deliverables
- Drive adoption and integration of new systems, tools, equipment, processes, and ways of working into frontline and operational environments
- Steer business readiness to adopt project deliverables
- Coordinate internal and external communications about project objectives and progress
- Apply project management methodologies to plan, control, and deliver projects
- Manage detailed schedules and critical paths
- Manage risks, issues, assumptions, and constraints with governance and probity focus
- Monitor and report outcomes to ensure benefits are realised and sustained
- Lead change management, training, and communication initiatives
- Analyse operational, legislative, and regulatory requirements
- Advise senior management on progress, risks, and performance
- Contribute to Digital Transformation Program projects and initiatives across the portfolio
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum of 5 years’ experience leading teams or delivering projects involving organisational, operational, or technology-enabled change
- Demonstrated ability to plan, coordinate, and manage people and resources to achieve defined outcomes in complex or high-risk environments
- Strong knowledge of planning, coordination, risk, and governance disciplines
- Experience managing projects, complex operations, critical incidents, or organisational change to achieve defined outcomes
- Demonstrated ability to balance delivery with adoption and integrate outcomes into operations
- Experience leading or supporting change management, training, and user engagement
- High-level interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills
- Experience identifying and analysing operational, legislative, and/or regulatory requirements
- Ability to manage project deliverables within an organisation with changing operational priorities
- National Police Clearance required
- PF166 required
- Experience in a large, complex, or high-profile project environment desirable
- Familiarity with policing, public safety, or government operations desirable
- Understanding of IT Service Management or digital transformation frameworks desirable
- Familiarity with system design, integration, or data interfaces desirable
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365, Teams, Jira or similar project and collaboration tools desirable
