About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct market and individual security research
- Help manage internal investment strategies and execute trades in portfolio management software
- Work with investment and advisory teams to devise portfolio allocation strategies and client recommendations based on target allocation and risk preferences
- Help monitor custom option and fixed income strategies for individual clients, including concentrated stock management
- Support and manage investment-focused projects
- Serve as a member of BakerAvenue’s Investment Management Committee
- Work closely with the Chief Investment Officer, Chief Strategist, analysts, traders, and advisors
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 4 years of relevant industry experience in financial services
- CFA or active progression toward the designation
- Previous experience with Orion/Eclipse, Bloomberg, custodial trading systems (e.g., Fidelity/Wealthscape, Schwab, etc.) and Salesforce a plus
- Strong proficiency working with Microsoft Excel and various AI-automation workflows
- Proficiency in options trading and analysis a plus
- Confidence to work directly with senior leaders and ability to collaborate in a team environment
- Ability to work independently and use judgment in executing critical transactions
- Proven success solving problems and working under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, time management and the ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Excellent organization and interpersonal skills, and the ability to take immediate ownership of their work
