About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform maintenance, preventative maintenance, repairs, and/or overhauls on facility equipment
- Maintain and repair related plumbing, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components
- Operate and understand manufacturing equipment and monitor equipment operation
- Record and maintain accurate data and complete required documentation
- Complete assigned cleaning tasks and the Master Sanitation Schedule as necessary
- Observe safety and security procedures and report potentially unsafe conditions
- Attend company-sponsored safety, annual, and continuing-development training
- Become proficient in production and safety policies and procedures
- Adhere to company personnel, safety, equipment maintenance, and upkeep policies
- Report directly to the Maintenance Manager for direction, interpretation, and evaluation
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associates Degree or College Degree (prefer electromechanical or mechatronics); two to three years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education or experience is required
- Strong motivation, organization, time management, documentation, and oral and written communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to multi-task and prioritize
- Ability to operate equipment while conforming to Company production, personnel, and safety procedures
- PLC knowledge and experience is a plus
- Steam boiler and plant air compressor system experience is helpful
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, operation manuals, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting guides
- Punctual, dependable, and trustworthy work ethic
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Must be able to pass any required examinations necessary to perform essential functions of the job
- Ability to present information effectively in one-on-one and small group situations
- Ability to communicate and handle conflict professionally
- Ability to give and welcome feedback and contribute to building a positive team spirit
- Proven electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic system troubleshooting skills
- Ability to stand, walk, use hands, talk and hear, and utilize specified vision abilities
- Ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, taste, smell, and lift up to 25 pounds
- Ability to distinguish colors
- Must adhere to plant personal protective equipment policies and procedures
