About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Set up operational parameters and related equipment before production startup according to SOPs
  • Operate production equipment to maintain powder quality and consistency
  • Safely shut down machinery and related equipment according to SOPs
  • Clean and sanitize equipment and all product-contact surfaces
  • Complete operating and equipment-cleaning checklists
  • Maintain peak operating efficiency of equipment
  • Keep work areas clean, neat, and dry throughout the shift
  • Attend mandated safety and Good Manufacturing Practices training
  • Complete and submit work orders requiring maintenance personnel
  • Perform maintenance on idle equipment during downtime
  • Clean designated areas and perform other tasks assigned by plant management
  • Mix powdered products to customer specifications, including bulk density, particle size, liquification tests, and powder flow

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Must have enough education to follow all written and oral instructions
  • Ability to learn and master knowledge necessary to operate procedures and associated equipment
  • Mechanical knowledge and ability for minor equipment repairs and maintenance
  • Ability to handle emergency situations common to the operation
  • Ability to maintain personal cleanliness and follow GMP guidelines
  • Ability to write clearly and in an organized fashion
  • Ability to reach an acceptable level of task proficiency within a 4-week training period
  • Must consistently follow Confined Space regulations
  • Ability to routinely climb stairs and lift heavy weights
  • Ability to use required Personal Protective Equipment when handling chemicals
  • Ability to work in wet, slippery, noisy, and hazardous production conditions
  • Availability for changing hours and additional hours as production requires
