About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide administrative support for daily HR operations, employee relations, performance management and HR special projects
  • Maintain employee records and electronically track promotions, transfers and exits
  • Prepare employment verification letters and other employee documentation
  • Coordinate arrival experiences for new hires
  • Assist with employee training preparation, documentation, resources, setup and support
  • Prepare, edit and format reports, presentations and policies
  • Upload and organize employee documents in BANAC’s internal electronic filing systems
  • Assist with employee performance management, document tracking and filing while meeting timelines
  • Ensure confidentiality and accuracy of HR documents
  • Track and audit employee professional licenses and accreditations
  • Comply with safety regulations and participate in organizational health and safety initiatives
  • Provide timely and professional customer service to employees
  • Report directly to the Director of Human Resources
  • Travel regularly to meetings and communities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional administrative experience preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy
  • Computer literacy
  • Professional experience with Adobe PDF, M365 applications, Excel, SharePoint and Teams
  • Certificate or diploma in Office Administration and/or Business Management or a related discipline preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and evolving work environment
  • Ability to work independently with support from the Director of Human Resources
  • Ability to handle sensitive matters professionally
  • High level of detail, speed and accuracy
  • High emotional intelligence and excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to use discretion and respond with urgency
  • Access to a personal vehicle
  • Ability to attend all BANAC worksite locations
  • Valid Class G Ontario Driver’s License required
  • Up-to-date clear Vulnerable Sector Check required
  • Up-to-date clear TST result required
