About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the highest-level technical authority for AWS and on-premises compute environments and DevOps practices
- Provide technical training and mentorship to N1 and N2 team analysts
- Support the creation and maintenance of operational runbooks for N1
- Support the N2 team in resolving critical and highly complex incidents
- Operate and administer highly available environments based on Amazon EKS
- Support corporate APIs through Apigee/API gateways and messaging ecosystems using SQS/SNS, Kafka, and RabbitMQ
- Support CI/CD pipelines and GitOps practices
- Automate operational routines using Terraform, Ansible, and scripts
- Participate in the on-call rotation as the technical escalation focal point
- Mitigate P1 critical incidents and lead war rooms when necessary
- Validate RCAs prepared by N2 and track corrective actions
- Support the validation and technical follow-up of critical changes (GMUDs)
- Advance monitoring and observability in collaboration with the NOC
- Optimize ELK, Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana, and Dynatrace
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
- AWS Certified Professional or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional certification
- Extensive experience in cloud computing architecture and operations, with a primary focus on AWS and on-premises compute environments
- Proven experience supporting and troubleshooting Kubernetes clusters (EKS)
- Hands-on experience administering and supporting API gateway layers such as Apigee or AWS API Gateway
- Strong expertise in supporting AWS SQS/SNS, with knowledge of Kafka and/or RabbitMQ
- Extensive experience automating infrastructure with Terraform and Ansible
- Strong experience developing scripts in Python, Bash, and PowerShell
- Knowledge and hands-on experience with GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, and ArgoCD
- Strong knowledge of Active Directory and corporate DNS administration
- Hands-on experience with ELK, Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana, and Dynatrace
- Proven experience leading or technically validating RCA reports and creating operational runbooks
- Availability to participate in an on-call rotation
- Preferred: experience in highly critical environments in the financial or banking sector; Azure and GCP; ITIL processes
