About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Generate revenue through business development activities with existing clients and new prospects
  • Build and manage relationships with large, complex commercial clients, including specialized industry verticals
  • Market and develop opportunities across commercial and industrial lending and targeted industry segments
  • Negotiate loan terms and structure credit solutions within authority
  • Prepare and present detailed credit analysis and recommendations for borrowing requests
  • Conduct credit reviews and monitor portfolio risk for policy and regulatory compliance
  • Monitor loan performance and maintain accurate risk ratings
  • Represent the bank in the community to build awareness and strengthen relationships
  • Mentor and coach less experienced relationship managers and support team development
  • Follow company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, Law, Computer Science, or a related field (Required)
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience can be considered in lieu of a degree
  • 6 or more years of experience in commercial credit, analysis, or business development (Required)
  • Proven ability to develop and manage large, complex client relationships
  • Relationship management, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Strong understanding of local markets and business growth
  • Strong financial and analytical skills, including underwriting and structuring commercial credits
  • Deep knowledge of cash management products and services
  • Knowledge of federal and state regulations related to commercial lending and appraisal guidelines
  • Willingness to travel up to 10%
