About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Collaborate in the design, implementation, and ongoing operational support of clinical technologies and associated workflows within a specialized critical care domain
  • Develop, analyze, and maintain statistical and performance data for timely, accurate, and informed decision-making
  • Partner with clinical subject-matter experts, informatics colleagues, and IT teams across the Banner enterprise to deliver integrated solutions
  • Collaborate in the development, implementation, and operational support of clinical technologies and processes within a specialty area at a system level
  • Provide informatics expertise and maintain statistical data for assigned business owners
  • Optimize clinical systems design to meet organizational improvement objectives and strategic goals
  • Balance interdisciplinary user requirements for clinical systems
  • Collaborate with department leaders, clinicians, project managers, and technical experts on clinical application design and deployment
  • Identify and solve problems, analyze developments, and respond to non-standard customer requests
  • Work on-site at Banner Churchill Community Hospital with remote support for the Lassen facility, Monday–Friday, eight-hour days
  • Travel to and work at any facility within the Banner Network as required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 2–4 years of experience working within a fast-paced acute health care setting, or completion of a bachelor's degree in a related business discipline or computer science
  • 2–4 years of experience working with systems, working as a functional "super-user" of an application in a similar department environment, or providing consultative input for application usage or design
  • Excellent working knowledge of typical word processing, spreadsheet, and/or database applications
  • Good organizational, critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and human relation skills
  • Two plus years of experience performing financial, analytical, and/or statistical work preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint preferred
  • Additional related education and/or experience preferred
