About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Participate in Banner Health’s New Nurse Experience Student Preceptorship
- Work alongside an experienced Registered Nurse
- Refine nursing skills and enhance nursing knowledge
- Develop personal and professional relationships in a collaborative learning environment
- Receive clinical mentorship from unit staff and educators at Banner Health facilities
- Complete a preceptorship in specialized units, with unit preferences considered
- Potentially transition into Banner’s full-time New Nurse Experience Program in the same facility and unit after becoming a licensed registered nurse
- Preceptorship focus areas include Medical Surgical and Progressive Care; limited availability in Emergency Center and Critical Care
- No placements offered in NICU/PICU, Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, or Antepartum
Requirements
What you’ll need- Nursing students graduating in April–June 2027 only
- Enrollment in an accredited nursing program
- Current GPA of 3.2 or higher
- Current BLS card through the American Heart Association or able to obtain before clinical rotation starts
- BSN/MSN is preferred
- Ineligible schools: University of Jamestown, ND; South Dakota State University; Pima Medical Institute Phoenix Campus; Central Arizona College; Carrington College; ACN – Tucson; EMCC; Jersey College; Alliant University
- Banner Health team members attending Jersey College or Alliant University are eligible for the program
