About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Float between Banner North Colorado Medical Center and Banner Fort Collins Medical Center, with primary base at Banner North Colorado Medical Center
- Complete and organize onboarding needs for new hires, new graduates, and capstone students
- Guide new team members through orientation across both WIS facilities
- Review competency assessment (CAP) tools for accuracy and compliance
- Assist with education initiatives and collaborate with education teams
- Keep preceptors aligned with training expectations, timelines, and best practices
- Support integration of new technology and innovation within women and infant care
- Work with leadership on team-member check-ins and follow-ups
- Assist with leadership rotation call coverage as needed
- Support clinical staff in delivering high-quality patient safety and care
- Support perinatal data collection, tracking, and reporting
- Contribute to quality improvement efforts aligned with CPCQC initiatives
- Support nurse leadership in planning, developing, and executing facility education
- Support onboarding and orientation of newly hired registered nurses
- Coordinate quality, risk management, safety, and nursing standards
- Serve as a liaison between disciplines through communication, education, and problem solving
- Coordinate system and facility initiatives for clinical career development and lateral nurse pathways
- Lead and implement facility clinical initiatives as needed
- Participate in improvement of national nursing quality indicators and outcomes
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associates degree
- Current, valid RN license in state of practice, temporary RN license in state of practice, or compact RN licensure for current state of practice
- BLS certification
- Minimum of one year experience in an acute care hospital setting
- Knowledge of healthcare
- Previous education experience or experience within a Women & Infant Services (WIS) department preferred
- Familiarity with onboarding processes, competency tools, and preceptor programs preferred
- Experience with perinatal quality data or collaborative quality initiatives preferred
- Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred
- Additional certification or continuing education may be required based on area of practice
- Must maintain required licensure and certifications
- Employees in specified Arizona behavioral health settings must possess and maintain an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card and sign an Arizona Criminal History Affidavit
