About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage day-to-day operations of a large or multi-site outpatient clinic, health center, or complex procedural practice
- Own successful practice operations, including financial performance, employee engagement and retention, and patient experience
- Prepare and execute budgets; monitor and approve payroll, supply ordering, inventory, and accurate charge capture
- Lead, select, onboard, develop, reward, retain, and provide performance feedback to staff, leaders, and physicians
- Maintain competencies to function in staff roles as needed to support efficient operations
- Ensure compliance with accrediting bodies and government agencies through reviews, audits, education, and training
- Coordinate physical maintenance, equipment needs, and repairs
- Build and maintain community partnerships and relationships to attract and retain customers and support Banner’s brand positioning
- Partner with Public Relations and Marketing on location, provider, and specialty promotion, media opportunities, and community events
- Monitor workflows and revise procedures to improve efficiency, quality, and safety
- Monitor patient-experience data, coach staff, lead by example, and direct service recovery activities
- Develop and implement solutions for strategic initiatives, service excellence, and quality measures
- Mentor less-tenured Practice Managers and Supervisors
- Develop plans to achieve short- and long-term goals and comply with operating and capital budgets
- Collaborate with physicians, clinical leadership, Banner leaders, market managers, staff, patients, vendors, regulators, and the community
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, consumer, finance, or a related field
- At least 2 years of experience in a related health care, business, retail, service, or hospitality setting
- Accountability and responsibility for meeting or exceeding key performance metrics
- Knowledge of health care, business, retail, service, or hospitality industry
- Entrepreneurial spirit and ability to lead a small business within an integrated healthcare system
- Ability to develop, implement, evaluate, and adjust an operational vision
- Exceptional collaboration, communication, decision-making, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with physicians, leaders, and staff employees
- Proven ability to drive team and individual performance to reach or exceed key performance metrics
- Ability to manage multiple changing priorities effectively in an ambiguous environment
- Ability to practice flexibility, maintain composure, show courage, and apply change management skills
- Additional experience or education in business, consumer, finance, or administration preferred
- Experience working in a managed care environment or integrated delivery network beneficial
- If working in an applicable behavioral health clinical setting serving children: Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card required at hire and an Arizona Criminal History Affidavit signed upon hire
