About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build the team supporting general strategic plan development and management within value pillars
  • Identify growth and change opportunities to optimize performance
  • Partner with operating teams to drive performance and maintain alignment with enterprise strategies
  • Provide strategic growth expertise across acute care, ambulatory, medical group, insurance, academic, post-acute, innovation/tele-health, and research operations
  • Lead capital planning, service line strategy, market analytics, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships
  • Develop business cases, conduct due diligence, and prepare recommendations for senior leadership approval
  • Direct strategic planning and product/service development processes, including goals, service line strategies, capital business plans, and operational plans
  • Build relationships with potential strategic partners and manage new business venture processes
  • Support implementation of new programs and evaluate post-implementation performance
  • Translate system strategy to regional and entity-level operational leaders
  • Advise senior leaders and analyze market and growth opportunities using quantitative and qualitative resources
  • Lead and improve strategic planning processes, analytical models, financial impact assessments, operational metrics, benchmarks, and due diligence methodologies
  • Partner with executives on RFP evaluation, creation, production, and submission
  • Provide decision support, advisement, and technical expertise to leadership and management
  • Maintain current professional and technical knowledge of healthcare planning, marketing, and markets
  • Lead strategic planning and product/service development initiatives across operating entities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, healthcare administration, or related field
  • Five years of healthcare planning and/or process management and operations experience
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of healthcare planning
  • Strong logic, conceptual, analytical, quantitative, and statistical skills
  • Strong executive presence and written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to direct and manage multiple comprehensive business plans simultaneously
  • Expertise in the full Microsoft Office Suite of business applications
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Health system and/or health plan experience highly desirable
  • Additional related education and/or experience preferred
