About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversee the health, performance, and scalability of the end-to-end data ecosystem
- Monitor architecture, data quality, and data pipelines from the Silver layer through semantic models and reporting layers
- Identify and resolve data breaks and performance issues within an AWS environment
- Collaborate with engineering and business teams to design, build, and optimize enterprise data solutions
- Provide architectural guidance throughout the full development lifecycle
- Assist in designing, documenting, and implementing technology solutions aligned with business needs, organizational standards, security requirements, and healthcare compliance mandates
- Document current-state and future-state architectures at conceptual, logical, and physical levels
- Evaluate vendor solutions against architectural and cybersecurity standards
- Participate in designing AI-powered healthcare applications
- Support healthcare data integration projects using HL7 and FHIR
- Develop and mature architectural artifacts, reference architectures, archetypes, and policy updates
- Ensure solutions meet HIPAA, HITECH, and PCI DSS standards
- Participate in cloud migration and modernization initiatives
- Analyze business and IT environments to identify deficiencies or redundancies and recommend improvements
- Develop and maintain enterprise technology standards and solution patterns
- Advise peers and leadership on current and future technologies based on business value
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in development, infrastructure, or systems analysis
- 3+ years of engineering or architecture experience
- 2+ years of experience developing or delivering solutions for cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, and/or GCP
- Must obtain AWS or Azure Architect certification and Security+ certification within one year of hire
- Basic understanding of healthcare compliance and security frameworks
- Knowledge of data integration concepts and APIs
- Monday-Friday availability during 8AM-5PM Arizona MST
- Must live in one of the specified eligible states: AL, AK, AR, AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, MD, MI, MN, MO, MS, NC, ND, NE, NH, NY, NM, NV, OH, OK, OR, PA, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA, WI, WV, WY
- Preferred: 3+ years of experience in healthcare or a regulated industry
- Preferred: 7+ years of experience in development, infrastructure, or systems analysis
- Preferred: 2+ years of experience designing solutions utilizing AI components
- Familiarity with HL7, FHIR, and other healthcare integration protocols and standards
- Architecture certifications, including AWS Architect, Azure Architect, TOGAF, Security+, CISSP, or related cloud, AI, or cybersecurity certifications preferred
