About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Act as a strategic partner to the firm’s partners and leaders, supporting decisions related to people, organizational structure, development, and talent management
  • Lead recruitment and selection processes from role alignment through hiring, including technical and leadership positions
  • Design and monitor development, career, performance, and succession initiatives, including evaluations, individual development plans (IDPs), and leadership programs
  • Conduct employee engagement and climate surveys, supporting action plans and initiatives related to culture, recognition, and employee experience
  • Support leaders on people management topics, including feedback, conflict resolution, employee movements, terminations, and team development
  • Manage and analyze HR metrics, turning people data into insights and recommendations for the Executive Board
  • Lead internal communications and Employer Branding initiatives, strengthening Baril’s positioning as an employer
  • Manage interfaces with Payroll and Personnel Administration, Accounting, Employment Law, and external vendors, ensuring process quality, deadlines, and compliance
  • Lead strategic HR projects, including automation, innovation, and the use of AI applied to people management
  • Translate the firm’s strategy into a people strategy, enhancing leadership capabilities, guiding HR through data, and strengthening the employee value proposition

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Business Administration, Human Resources Management, or a related field
  • Solid experience in Human Resources, with experience in Business Partner, Learning and Organizational Development, HR Consulting, or HR Specialist roles
  • Experience with strategic HR projects and process design
  • Experience working closely with senior leaders, partners, or executives
  • Experience in growing companies or organizations undergoing the professionalization of people management
  • Knowledge of performance management, competencies, career development, and leadership development
  • Experience with or knowledge of recruiting and selecting candidates for technical and leadership positions
  • Knowledge of employee engagement, organizational culture, and workplace climate
  • Fundamentals of compensation, benefits, and job architecture
  • Knowledge of employment law and Payroll and Personnel Administration processes
  • Intermediate Excel proficiency
  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365 and HR management tools
  • Ability to build and interpret people metrics and turn data into action plans
  • Familiarity with AI, automation, and data analytics tools applied to HR
  • Strategic mindset and ability to connect people priorities with business needs
  • Clear communication and ability to interact effectively with different levels of the organization
  • Ability to work independently with strong organization and prioritization skills
  • Analytical, consultative, and solution-oriented approach
