About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Answer other tellers’ questions
- Resolve more complex problems
- Oversee balancing
- Ensure smooth flow of teller lines and adequate coverage
- Provide general training to tellers
- Process members’ deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, cashier’s checks, and cash advances accurately and efficiently
- Balance daily transactions and verify cash totals
- Perform assigned side-jobs
- Assist other tellers as needed
- Ensure members receive prompt and professional service
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum of 6 to twelve months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Thorough knowledge of bank teller policies and procedures
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic understanding of financial services and products provided by the credit union
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in basic computer skills and willingness to learn new software/systems
- Comprehensive background check required
- Drug screening required
- Online skill assessment required before an offer of employment
