About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Collaborate with team members to accurately administer company benefit plans and programs
- Safeguard confidential and sensitive information
- Serve as a primary point of contact for team members and their families regarding company benefit programs
- Provide timely support, guidance and education on benefit programs
- Ensure compliance with applicable state and federal requirements, including recordkeeping and reporting
- Help develop and expand centralized benefit services with field leaders and the Benefits Administration Team
- Serve as a subject matter expert on benefits programs and projects
- Partner with external vendors and members of the global People Team
- Support continuous improvement of benefit processes and programs
- Address day-to-day team member benefit questions and issues
- Support onboarding for new team members
- Enter HRIS data in Workday, including new hires, status updates and job changes
- Support People Team project initiatives
- Prepare vendor invoices for payment
- Assist with eligibility, claims and billing issues
- Partner with brokers, vendors and legal counsel
- Assist with implementation and introduction of new or modified benefit plans
- Participate in preparing communications for team members
- Administer leaves as required to support business needs
- Report to the Benefits Leader
- Work as an individual contributor with no direct reports
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business Administration or equivalent professional experience
- Experience with benefit programs and related rules and regulations
- Knowledge of health care group insurance, leave administration, general benefit policies, practices and legal requirements
- Current knowledge of ERISA, FMLA, HIPAA, IRS Section 125, related HR trends and best practices
- Strong attention to detail

- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Proactive ownership of tasks and project action items
- Problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset
- Ability to work independently and on diverse teams
- Ability to organize, plan and prioritize work
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and SharePoint
- Previous Workday experience is a plus
- CEBS or PHR certification is a plus
- Must be able to sit or stand at a desk and use a computer for prolonged periods
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds
