About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and oversee execution of new equipment orders for the corrugating product line
  • Guide a high-functioning project management team and drive successful execution of new equipment projects
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, resource management, project scheduling, engineering, integration, installation, start-up and project closure
  • Ensure project scope, deliverables and schedules are clearly defined before execution
  • Achieve project milestones, schedule adherence, product cost targets and project cost targets
  • Develop and maintain project standards playbooks, scheduling systems, work breakdown structures, critical-path tools and status-reporting processes
  • Ensure adherence to project management execution standards
  • Perform quality control throughout project development
  • Align BWP leadership, internal functional departments and customers
  • Manage schedule and target changes as project needs or financing change
  • Identify delays, facilitate recovery plans and recommend actions to maintain budget and schedule
  • Partner with outside OEMs to define requirements, manage purchasing and ensure accountability
  • Control project documentation and formal communications
  • Develop team members’ project management competencies
  • Lead, direct and coach less experienced team members and project managers

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree required; B.S. in Engineering preferred
  • 8+ years of experience as a Project Manager, preferably in a technical or manufacturing environment
  • 5+ years of experience leading teams of Project Managers
  • Strong communication, leadership, organizational and analytical skills
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams across all levels of the organization
  • Change Agent
  • Proficient in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement
  • Strong financial acumen with ability to analyze data related to business objectives with a full understanding of P&L impact
  • Ability to facilitate and drive effective conflict resolution
  • Proficient in MS Office, including MS Project or equivalent
  • Formal project management training or certification (e.g., PMP) is preferred
  • Experience in capital equipment or low volume, high mix, high customization businesses would be ideal but not required
  • Applicants may be subject to pre-employment screening, including drug screening, reference checks, employment verifications, background screening and/or skills assessments
  • Must be able to work on-site 5 days per week in Phillips, WI
